Partially cross-linked hydrogenated nitrile rubber composition

Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a partially cross-linked hydrogenated nitrile rubber composition useful for producing a thermoplastic elastomer satisfying all requirements for compression set, weather resistance and processability at a low cost. CONSTITUTION: The objective partially cross-linked hydrogenated nitrile rubber composition is produced by selectively hydrogenating ≥50% of carbon-carbon double bond of a partially cross-linked nitrile rubber containing a conjugated diene, (meth)acrylonitrile and a compound having two or more copolymerizable double bonds as essential components using a catalyst containing a ruthenium compound containing 80-400ppm of ruthenium (based on the weight of the rubber), 1-10 times mol of an organic phosphine compound (based on the molar number of the ruthenium compound) and 0.1-5wt.% of calcium chloride (based on the weight of the rubber) as essential components.
